There is nothing like a warm cosy house filled with the smell of baking cookies. Not to mention the tins and plates of them that turn up at parties and desks everywhere.

we made the dough for gingerbread men in my classroom this morning (we do LOTS of cooking!). the dough came out rather crumbly and weird, but of course i didn't tell the kids that! i think i'll make another batch a home, and then mix the two batches together...
