Being a bit of a blog nerd, I was in search of a good London blog that would tell me exactly what the city was like, and what I needed to do to prepare. And I really found myself struggling to find some good resources (part of the motivation for writing this blog, in fact).
So, if you're thinking of moving to London, or have just arrived, here are some great blogs to keep you going:
Londonist

The Londonist blog is a group effort that systematically covers everything London - from maps of the Blitz, to art shows, comedy gigs, and historical spots. This site's real strength is it's systematic updates on everything happening in London. My favourite section is Cheap London, which provides the perfect way to find out what's happening on the weekend on a budget.
Going Underground
Going Underground was the first blog I found while researching London. It obsessively writes about the London tube - from rules and regulations, to manners, stories, and history. Most importantly, it gives a peek into the London life, and the city's single-minded obsession with transport, and the tube system.
Ethnic Eating in London
There are hundreds upon thousands of restaurants to choose from in London. The trouble is sorting the tourist destinations from the genuine, delicious ones that won't break the bank. And Ethnic Eating in London will point you in the write direction. It mostly deals with restaurants in the South and East of London, but is still an excellent resource.

Style East
I've just started reading Style East, but am already entranced. This blog posts regular street photos of the trendiest, and most fashionable people in London. At the same time, it gives a good idea of the vibe in the east end, and the sort of people you see around London (when not trapped with Suits in the Financial District).
